17-year-old Marie McAdams had been missing from her home in Durham, North Carolina for three months before her body was found by an early morning jogger on January 25, 1993.

Marie`s partially clad, severely decomposed body was in the woods between South La Salle Street and Towerview Drive on Duke University’s West Campus . She is believed to have been murdered during the last 2 months of 1992.

Marie had been struck in the head with a blunt object and stabbed repeatedly in the chest. Detectives believe she was also sexually assaulted.

Durham Crimestoppers is offering a $1,200 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or person(s) convicted of her murder.
