The Oklahoma City Police Department continues to actively investigate the December 20, 1996 murder of Oklahoma University student Jewell "Juli" Busken.
21-year-old Juli was abducted from the Dublin West Apartments at 1800 E. Lindsey St. in Norman, Oklahoma on December 20, 1996.Police say, at 5 a.m., Juli had driven a friend to the Will Rogers Airport in Oklahoma City. Around the time she would have arrived home at her off-campus apartment in Norman, Oklahoma a neighbour heard a scream, a car door slamming and the squeal of tyres. The neighbors called 911.
Her body was found on the southeast side of Lake Stanley Draper in far southeast Oklahoma City later that evening.Juli was still clothed and had signs of head trauma.
Her car, a red 4-door 1991 Eagle Summit with Arkansas plates TLF-761, was recovered at the Dutch Hollow Apartments, at 1900 E. Lindsey St the following day.

A reward of up to $20,000 is offered for information that leads to the arrest and successful prosecution of the person or persons responsible for Juli`s death.
